Minds of Tomorrow Project voor Young Professionals

Minds of Tomorrow (MT) is het mentorprogramma van de DBRT waarbij young professionals gekoppeld worden aan executives die actief zijn in het Zwitserse bedrijfsleven met als doel de carriere en persoonlijke ontwikkeling te stimuleren. Over een periode van 1 jaar wordt er op individuele basis gewerkt aan persoonlijke, professionele en leiderschapsdoelstellingen. De DBRT hanteert strikte selectiecriteria en ondersteund mentoren als ook mentees gedurende het traject om het succes van het programma te waarborgen. Het programma sluit naadloos aan op de ambitie van de DBRT om meer te betekenen voor young professionals en de uitwisseling tussen junioren en senioren te stimuleren. In 2018 zijn we gestart met 10 mentoren en 18 mentees. Elke maand stellen de mentoren 2-4 uur beschikbaar voor persoonlijk overleg en begeleiding met 1-3 mentees. Om in aanmerking te komen voor een positie als mentee, dien je te voldoen aan een aantal voorwaarden, waarvan je de belangrijkste hieronder vindt:

* Je bent tussen de 21 en 35 jaar oud, woonachtig in Zwitserland en betalend lid van de DBRT-Zurich (voor je aanmelding voor het mentortraject).
* Je bent op de hoogte van de meest recente ontwikkelingen in je vakgebied en spant je in om deze kennis te onderhouden.
* Je hebt je uiterlijk 1 februari aangemeld bij voor het DBRT Minds of Tomorrow programma met de volgende informatie: Motivatiebrief, het vragenformulier voor mentees, CV en top-3 beoogde mentor.

Deelname is (behalve je lidmaatschap van CHF37.50 tot CHF75 per jaar) geheel vrijgesteld van kosten. Bekijk de rest van de voorwaarden voor deelname hier.

De mentoren van Minds of Tomorrow

Elk jaar is er tijdens de nieuwjaarsborrel de gelegenheid om op laagdrempelige wijze kennis te maken met de mentoren. Dit geeft je de mogelijkheid om beter te kunnen bepalen welke mentor nou echt bij jou als Young Professional past en hem/haar vragen te stellen die je kunnen helpen bij het schrijven van een gerichte motivatie.

Hieronder vind je een overzicht van onze mentoren die zich voor 2019 geheel belangeloos inzetten voor onze Young Professionals:

Katja Kok – CEO at Van Lanschot Zwitserland

Katja (1972) werkt sinds 2013 voor Van Lanschot Kempen en is sinds augustus 2018 CEO van Van Lanschot Zwitserland. Na haar studies Economie en Filosofie werkte Katja 15 jaar bij ABN AMRO in diverse functies. Bij Van Lanschot Kempen was zij verantwoordelijk voor de kantoren in Amsterdam en Haarlem, voor de centrale administratie van de bank en voor de aansluiting van Asset Manager Kempen bij de Private Bank van Van Lanschot. De kennis van de Nederlandse Van Lanschot Kempen organisatie zet Katja nu graag in voor de klanten van Van Lanschot Zwitserland.

Katja is getrouwd met Paul, samen hebben zij vier kinderen. De jongste twee zoontjes wonen hier bij hen in Zwitserland, de oudste twee dochters studeren in Nederland! Zij houdt van buiten zijn en geniet met volle teugen van de natuur in Zwitserland.

Naast haar werk is Katja lid van de Raad van Toezicht van het Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest en lid van de Raad van Toezicht van Plan Nederland.


Hanneke Gerritsen – Swiss Post, Co-Head Organizational Development, Head of New Work

Hanneke has an extensive background in organizational development with a focus on Innovation in an organizational context and culture change/transformation management. As enterprise coach she helps senior managers, leaders and teams to understand and adopt an agile and lean mindset. She is a Big Picture Thinker and works as a strategic facilitator encouraging colleagues to design, initiate, carry out and communicate their vision, mission, goals and objectives in order to execute on the day-to-day tactical level. Hanneke likes to look at the larger picture and find smart solutions with colleagues. Her motivation is to uncover hidden insights and utilize these to define strategy, road maps and vision to move a program, product or service to successful implementation. She also values collaboration. The best work she has done has been as part of a team.


Marianne Mulder – International Marketing Manager bij Roche Diagnostics International

In haar huidige functie richt Marianne zich op strategische marketing projecten en business development projecten binnen de diagnostische product groep Point of Care, dit zijn diagnostische devices die aan het bed van de patient gebruikt worden en door Roche ontwikkeld en verkocht worden.

Voordat Marianne bij het hoofdkantoor van Roche Diagnostics aan de slag ging heeft zij voor het lokale kantoor van Roche in Nederland gewerkt als Product Manager. Daarvoor heeft Marianne meerdere jaren gewerkt in sales en marketing functies binnen de farmaceutische industrie.

Als International Marketing Manager is Marianne gespecialiseerd in alles wat met product/marketing management te maken heeft: van product ontwikkeling, business development, marketing en sales tot trainen en workshops ontwikkelen voor en met klanten. Het geven van presentaties op internationale bijeenkomsten, bezoeken van klanten om meer inzicht te krijgen in de wensen en benodigdheden om een toekomst visie en strategie te kunnen ontwikkelen voor het product portfolio.

Marianne heeft haar drs titel behaald in de Sociale Psychologie en daarnaast diverse marketing en business cursussen gevolgd.

Arnout Ploos van Amstel – 
(tot recentelijk) Novartis, Head (SVP) Global Business Franchise Immunology, Hepatology & Dermantology

 Arnout Ploos van Amstel has over 25 years of business experience in the bio-pharmaceutical business in a wide variety of leadership positions. Until recently, Arnout was Head (Senior Vice President) of the Global Business Franchise Immunology Hepatology & Dermatology (IHD, ~$4.5Bn) at Novartis Pharma. The IHD portfolio of products includes the game changing biologic Cosentyx –the best Novartis launch ever- in the diseases Psoriasis and Spondyloarthritis. IHD further includes Orphan Diseases, Transplant, and Liver Diseases. In all disease areas, assets are managed from early clinical development to late stage commercialization. Regular portfolio enrichments are added through in-licensing and acquisition deals.

Arnout joined Novartis in July 2010 as President Novartis Greece and navigated the affiliate through the challenges of the economic crisis. Before joining Novartis, he headed for ~2 years a Global/US operational Business Unit (~$2bn revenue) of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in the US and was President Wyeth Canada for ~3 years. Prior he had this role at Wyeth the Netherlands after having exercised a career in various marketing and sales roles with increasing responsibility.

Arnout excels in building high performing teams. He develops solid strategic roadmaps with clear goals to deliver results that exceed expectations. He is passionate about converting science and products into sustainable value for customers and patients, through the initiation and implementation of fully integrated Development-Medical-Commercial strategies.

He was born and raised in the Netherlands, where he earned a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Groningen.


Hans Geene – 
Tax Partner and leads the Swiss people and organization business, PwC Switzerland

Hans is the People & Organization (P&O) practice leader for Switzerland based in the Geneva office. He joined PwC in the Netherlands in 1998 and moved to Switzerland in 2002. He has strong experience in providing advice in international individual taxation, complex international payroll structuring, set up of global and regional employment companies, mobility policies as well as compensation & benefits strategy.
As the P&O Swiss practice leader, Hans is a speaker in many national and international seminars on global mobility challenges, talent management and more general HR matters. Hans is a graduate in Law from the Leiden University. Hans is a Dutch native speaker, fluent in German and English and at conversational level in French.


Gerben Schreurs – Credit Suisse, Managing Director

Global Head of Change & Controls for Financial Crime Compliance

Gerben Schreurs is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse and the Global Head of Change & Controls for Financial Crime Compliance, based in Zurich. In this role he is responsible for the global oversight and management of all FCC projects, technology initiatives, project management, and strategic control design. Prior to joining Credit Suisse in April 2018, Gerben was a Forensic Partner at KPMG Switzerland specializing in the technology aspects like data analytics, eDiscovery and computer forensics in the context of fraud investigations, bribery and sanctions issues and information leakage. Next to the Swiss role, he was responsible for Forensic Technology services for KPMG globally. Before joining KPMG Switzerland he held a similar role at KPMG in the Netherlands where he started his career in 1996.

Judith Kuiper – VP International Clients, Global Client Leader, Managing Director, Market Research and Customer Marketing Manager
Judith has over 20 years experience in the FMCG industry and Market Research. She is a trusted advisor to CEO’s, board members and executive teams with her deep expertise in understanding the trends in the exciting and continuously changing  world of the FMCG industry globally. Judith is also a member of the employee resource group Women in Nielsen (WIN), dedicated to making Nielsen’s highly diverse workforce the most engaged in the world. Colleagues also appreciate her as a positive, inspirational, approachable leader & mentor/coach.


Martin de Groot – Xeltis AG, CFO, Member of Board of Directors

Martin’s 25-year experience in finance spans over corporate M&A, IR and Capital Market Transactions in executive and non-executive board roles, in sectors such as healthcare, software, telecom.
Prior to Xeltis, he co-founded, is Chairman of the Board and CFO at Avalia Systems. Previously, Martin was CFO at P&I AG and deputy CFO at Temenos. Earlier on, he spent 10 years at Nokia and started his career in the Dairy Industry at Campina Melkunie.

Martin is an alumnus from IMD Lausanne and holds an Executive Master of Finance and Control from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.


Reinout van Lennep – Advisory Council Member at Halkin Investment LLP,

Reinout van Lennep, a Dutch national based in Zurich, is an independent advisor to ultra-high net worth families (UHNW) around the world and specializes in finance, wealth management and family governance. Before becoming independent in January 2012, he was a Managing Director at ABN AMRO Bank in charge of its Global International Private Banking business from 1995 to 2004, followed by 7 years as Senior Banker to key UHNW families in Western and Eastern Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Reinout obtained his masters degree in Law at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands and studied Russian in the Dutch Military Intelligence. Subsequently, he has been dedicated to the field of banking and finance. Initially as a certified credit analyst at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York, he advanced to Vice President at JP Morgan in Amsterdam and London (in structured finance). After joining ABN AMRO Bank in 1989, he progressed to become deputy CEO in Hong Kong and then CEO in Taiwan, UK and Switzerland, and was a member of various boards in that group.

In the past decade, he has focused increasingly on family governance and next generation issues and has been a frequent speaker on such matters.

Reinout currently serves on a number of corporate and family foundation boards in Europe and Asia and advises families in not only those regions, but also in Argentina and the US.

René Koets – Partner Consulting, Head Finance & Operations Advisory 

René has an extensive background in consulting on large scale IT driven transformation programs at international Corporate Clients, with a focus on client segments Luxury & Consumer goods, Industrial Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals. René joined KPMG in The Netherlands in 2002 after earning his Master’s degree in Economics and an Executive Master in IT and Audit. René joined KPMG Switzerland in 2010 and is currently responsible for the Finance and Operations Advisory team in Switzerland. This team provides global clients with advice on optimizing the finance function, improving operational processes and how companies can best use ERP to their advantage. 

Throughout his career René has advised his clients on topics like ERP (from strategy to global deployment), IT Operating Models and IT Sourcing, Tax driven supply chain transformation and IT Due Diligence as part of M&A activities. Besides engagement oversight and delivery, René’s role is focused on sales and networking. 

René enjoys building high performing teams and helping people become strong professionals, from both a hard- and soft skills perspective.
